The School of Arts, Media and Engineering (AME) and the School for the Future of Innovation in Society (SFIS) at Arizona State University seek a diverse pool of dynamic thinkers and creators for a joint, full-time, tenure-eligible associate professor appointment focused on visualizing futures and worldbuilding, which will play a central role in the ASU at Mesa City Center emerging media technologies center opening in fall 2022. This position will have a leadership role in the development and running of the MS in Futures and Design, a cross-disciplinary degree program focused on leveraging emerging/XR technologies and practices to imagine, analyze and create discourse/engagement around futures scenarios and alternate realities. This position will begin Fall 2022.
The School of Arts, Media and Engineering (AME) of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts and the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence (SCAI) of the Ira A Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University seek a dynamic individual with expertise and applied and theoretical innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent systems to join the transdisciplinary ASU at Mesa City Center emerging media technologies team for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor appointment to begin in Fall 2022. In addition to its impact on research and innovation in AI-supported augmented and extended reality technologies, this position will also play a critical role in the development and delivery of new cross-disciplinary programs, including the MS in Digital Culture (Extended Reality Technologies) and the PhD/MS in Data Science, Analysis, and Engineering, all cross-disciplinary degree programs focused on emerging technologies and practices for public impact. The successful applicant will prepare and maintain fabrication facilities for the Digital Culture undergraduate program, and support research efforts in the School of Arts, Media and Engineering.  
Under general supervision, The School of Arts, Media and Engineering is seeking an AME Digital Culture Coordinator who will plan, organize and coordinate activities, functions and programs in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications. Key job duties include:  Lead and develop student recruitment activities. Provide assistance with course scheduling activities. Provide assistance with student communications. Provide assistance with student records management. The School of Arts, Media and Engineering in the Herberger Institute for Design is a leading transdisciplinary program in digital media. It offers a BA/BS in Digital Culture, an MA/MS in Media Arts and Science, a PhD in Media Arts and Sciences, and the new media concentrations in the graduate degrees of 9 collaborating units spanning arts, design, sciences and engineering. The school’s mission is to provide groundbreaking curricular pathways to promote technofluency – its development, application, and implications. It has state of the art facilities for the development of media systems with focus on rehabilitation, K-12 education and interactive art.
