Canal Convergence: Byron Lahey, PhD: Digital Robotic Systems

Each year the City of Scottsdale hosts an event called Canal Convergence at the start of November that combines technology with public art and innovation. This year several AME faculty and students will be presenting at the event. View the below link for more information on the AME events and their times.

Byron Lahey, PhD: Digital Robotic Systems

Discover the process of 3-D modeling robotic systems. Participants will learn to model basic components, assemble these components into a mechanical system, preview the motion of this system and produce a photorealistic rendering of their creation.

About the Event

Join Bryan Lahey, PhD, School of Arts, Media and Engineering at Arizona State Univeristy, and discover the process of 3-D modeling robotic systems. This workshop will introduce Autodesk Fusion 360, one of the most popular, powerful and versatile 3-D modeling tools available today. Participants will learn to model basic components, assemble these components into a mechanical system, preview the motion of this system, and produce a photorealistic rendering of their creation.

Prior to the workshop, participants will need to:

  • Bring laptop* to the workshop. If you do not have access to a laptop, we have a limited supply.  Please reserve by emailing LHales@ScottsdaleArts.org.
